This unit was designed to offer an overview of the biography of Theodore Seuss Geisel. The students will learn about words that rhyme. The students will also discover the parts of books such as the front cover, back cover, title page, and spine. In class, we will study the roles of an author and illustrator. The main author focus will be on Dr. Seuss. The students will name the characters in the story and answer wh questions. At the end of this unit, the students will be able to create their own books using Biguniverse.com. The students will need to make sure they have included all parts of the book.
